Tiny dash updates (#1327)

* Cross-platform updates to help with running on Macs mainly. The biggest difference is that now our code expects the les data in input/, and I've added a symlink that points to the normal pub directory for it. This makes everything work the same, but also makes it so someone can download the les data and store it anywhere, then just change the symlink.

* Small fix needed for a different python version and a little UI update

* Another tiny cross platform fix

* Updating build removal method and adding a mac specific bit for GPTL compiling that fixes environment issues
